A Dubai desert safari takes you about 45 minutes from the city to the Lahbab red dunes for dune bashing in a 4x4, sandboarding, a camel ride and a sunset stop; on evening trips there's a BBQ dinner with belly dance, Tanoura and fire shows at camp. Shared trips start at AED 99 per person with free hotel pickup across Dubai (AED 79 if you drive yourself), and a private Land Cruiser for 1-6 guests starts at AED 799. What happens on a desert safari
- Pickup: a 4x4 Land Cruiser collects you from your hotel or home, free across Dubai (other emirates on request, see pickup areas)
- Dune bashing: 25-45 minutes of driving up and down the red dunes with a licensed safari driver
- Sandboarding and sunset photos on the highest dune

- Drop-off back at your door around 9:00-9:30 PM

What is the best time for a desert safari?
October to April has the best weather. The evening safari is the most popular because of the sunset and shows. In summer (June-September) the morning safari or a late-starting evening trip is more comfortable.
How long is a desert safari?
Evening safaris take about 6.5-7 hours door to door (pickup around 2:00-2:30 PM, back by 9:00-9:30 PM). Morning safaris take about 4 hours. Overnight trips take about 16 hours.
Is the desert safari safe?
Yes, with a licensed operator. Our drivers are licensed safari captains, and our Land Cruisers are insured and fitted with roll cages, seat belts and GPS tracking. Dune bashing isn't recommended during pregnancy, with back or heart problems, or for children under 3.
Do you pick up from my hotel?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off are free from hotels and homes across Dubai. We also pick up from Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates: usually free, and always free with a private SUV.
Can I pay on arrival?
Yes for the balance. Pay 20% online via WhatsApp after booking to confirm, and the balance on pickup. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup; within 24 hours the full amount is charged.

We had an amazing experience on our desert safari today. It was truly worth the money! All the shows, rides, activities, and especially the food were excellent. Everything was well organized and we enjoyed every moment of the 6-hour safari. The best part was that our 23-month-old baby, Ahaan, also enjoyed the entire experience. We were a little concerned about travelling with a baby, but everything went very smoothly and he had a great time. A special thanks to our guide, Emdad Bhai, who was extremely supportive and helpful throughout the trip. He guided us during every activity and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Overall, it was a fantastic and memorable experience for our family. Definitely paisa vasool! Highly recommended for families, especially those travelling with kids.
