How intense is it?
Shared cars drive a standard route of about 25-30 minutes. Private cars run 40-45 minutes at whatever intensity you ask for. Want to drive yourself? The Land Cruiser self-drive (AED 3,000) puts you behind the wheel with an instructor.

Is dune bashing safe?
With licensed drivers and roll-caged, insured Land Cruisers, yes. It isn't recommended if you're pregnant, have back or heart problems, or for children under 3.
Can I do dune bashing only?
Yes. The private sunset or morning safaris are mostly dune bashing without the camp.
